dumb kismet client for Win32
dkc is a simple Kismet client for win32 (Windows XP).
dkc is freeware without any usage limitation. Enjoy!
Currently it is closed source.Usage is intended to be intuitive.

Quick start
- You need a Kismet server (see Kismet).
- Make sure you can connect with your Kismet server.
(If Kismet text client can connect dkc can connect, too.)- Start dkc
- Click on Connection->Add Connection
- enter the IP and the Port of your Kismet server
(Like localhost:2501 or 192.168.1.12:2501, default port is 2501)- dkc should connect and receive data
- the status register shows error messages
- use the connection manager to make permanent settings

Icons
- X70 and cadis_win network type is "probe"
- TBSam has the network type "infrastructure" and 5 clients
- TUBSWEP and Apple-WLAN are logical cells
- TUBSWEP has 43 clients and the cell has 3 base stations (known BSSIDs)
- Apple-WLAN has 16 clients, 11 have a known IP number and the cell has 2 base stations
- eduroam has the network type "adhoc mode"
- <no ssid> has an unknown network type with 5 clients, all (5) have known IP numbers
- BUSE-BS370 has then network type "data"
- 802.1X has then network type "turbocell" with 44 clients
Cell Manager
Cells build a logical group of base stations. Multiple base stations and their clients are grouped into one "base station" node.
You can group any base stations into cells. It is only a dkc-side presentation of data and might not have any relation with the real world.
Cell view can be turned on/off via context menu.
